On April 12, 2023, the inaugural Triangle Black Tech Event: Breaking Barriers lit up the Durham Bottling Company with energy, insight, and celebration. This powerful gathering honored the innovation and success of Black tech leaders across the country, while creating space for connection, learning, and inspiration.
The evening featured a dynamic mix of networking, interactive sessions, and engaging panel discussions, all centered around breaking down barriers in the tech space.

In September 2023, the Triangle Black Tech Event at Provident 1898 in Durham spotlighted the brilliance of Black Women Founders. The evening brought together a dynamic mix of entrepreneurs, investors, tech professionals, and students to celebrate innovation and community.
The event featured a powerful panel discussion led by Kenyetta Hall (The Katalyst HQ), where founders shared personal stories of resilience and success. Keynotes from Rachel Cash (Elroi Inc), Tamette Farrington (Ta’farri Solutions), and Jessica Couch (Fayetteville Road) inspired the crowd with insights into building and leading in tech.
Live painting by La Chesson added a creative layer to the experience, capturing the energy of the night. It was an unforgettable celebration of Black women breaking barriers and shaping the future of technology.

UNVEILING POSSIBILITIES
On Thursday, March 14, 2024, Queen City Black Tech hosted “Unveiling Possibilities” at Hygge Coworking in Charlotte — a vibrant celebration of Black tech professionals, innovation, and community.
The event featured a “Needs and Seeds” community wall, an Ideation Station, Tech Buzzwords Bingo, and a Networking Passport to spark collaboration and fun. Attendees also explored internships and connected with local vendors, all while advancing Queen City Black Tech’s mission of diversity and inclusion in tech.

The BTI Tech Sync wasn’t your typical networking event — and that was the whole point.
